I'm lovin' it.

It's been raining quite a lot lately, it's ridiculous. I don't even know if there's a typhoon or a tropical depression or a low pressure area, or whatever. I know that I should well be used to rains, with our climate and all, especially at this time of year, but I just don't like it. Maybe because it's a pain commuting when it rains. It's either you get a cab (ouch on the pocket!), or brave the other public transport (which will leave you drenched, no matter what you do.)

But such is life. Adventure, yes. Not always nice, but yeah, it's okay.

Anyway, this post is one of my numerous posts for the day, just for the sake of updating. I just can't seem to find the time and energy to write about the things frothing in my brain. Also, I've come to learn that there are some things that are too trivial to be worth the bother--and there are some things that are too deep, too special, too meaningful to share. And since my life has been full of semi-trivial and overly special life events lately, then I don't have anything to blog about, ayt?

On an unrelated matter, Christmas season is here! Yay! I already said before that Christmas is my favorite holiday. Don't blame me, I'm still a child at heart. =) But this Christmas is proving to be more expensive than the previous ones, with the Palawan trip, and presents to buy for my loved ones, friends, and inaanaks. Speaking of inaanak, another one will be added on my list by the weekend, baby Lexi, Aileen's (Jp's sister) son. Will be going to Bulacan this weekend for baby Lexi's pabuhusan, don't know what that means. But Jp's mom said that I will be carrying baby Lexi on his pabuhusan, which will make me his new ninang. I don't know if that would already be his baptism or it's a totally different thing from a baptism. I guess it's different, and his regular baptism will follow some other time. Anyways.

The sky is gray is outside, perhaps it will be raining again pretty soon. I just hope it wouldn't rain later when I go home as I lost my umbrella, ella, ella.. Otherwise, I will be drenched again. *Sigh*

from Grey's Anatomy:

Dr. Miranda Bailey (while operating on Megan, a little girl who thinks she's a superhero; she does not feel pain): "Look at this...Everybody wants a life without pain. And what does it get you? She needs to be on a poster somewhere to remind people pain is there for a reason."

Finally! Our much awaited Palawan trip would be pushing through this December! Yay!

As early as October 3, I already booked our plane tickets online to avail of the special promo. A real bargain really. =)

A little kwento lang. At first I was booking for a November 21-23 roundtrip flight, which was on promo. As I was about to pay, the online facility of the airline wouldn't accept my payment. When I checked, it turned out that all the promo seats were taken and I have to pay the regular fare for the flight. Of course I didn't pay the regular fare. I was trying to avail nga of the promo e, duh! And so I searched again for flights with the promo. I found a December 10-12 roundtrip flight. I checked my pc calendar if the schedule falls on a weekend. It did! Boy was I thrilled! I immediately booked the flight just in case maubusan ulit ng seats. When I received the confirmation of my boking from the airline, I e-mailed a copy of it to Jaypee for his reference. He called me a few minutes after asking me why I booked for a Wednesday-Friday schedule. I said, of course not, it's a Friday-Sunday sched, I even checked it on the calendar. He told me to check my calendar again. When I did, I found out that Dec. 10-12 was indeed Wednesday-Friday. I was like, Oh no! We can't go on a trip for 3 working days. It's December. Year-end. Lot's of deadlines. Boy, oh boy! I tried searching for other week-end flights, found none, and we would pay for a re-booking fee if ever we decided to re-book. And so we both decided to push through the Dec. 10-12 trip, take a leave from the office for 3 days, and face the mountains of work that will be greeting us upon coming back. Nice!

And so it is settled. Palawan it is! Hopefully, we would both be permitted to take a leave. Otherwise, we're doomed! I'll keep my fingers crossed na lang.

=)

Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls— family, health, friends, integrity—are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life. - Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson

This is an excerpt from one of my favorite books, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. It has been one of my guiding principles in life. Nice no? :)

I am living one day at a time because Today is all I have; Tomorrow is uncertain and filled with the perennial fear that you won't be there.

I am living one day at a time; I surrender my future, and pray that I don't look back only to find years and months and weeks and days and hours and seconds and moments of wasted time.

I am living one day at a time through your eyes...and your smile, your warmth, your solace, your laughter, your fears and dreams that offer nothing more than...this.

I am living one day at a time that's why I laugh the way I do; I am giving Today all that I've got because I'm living one day at a time.
